We all know what it means to be "saved by the bell." Something happens at just the last minute to save us from trouble or pain. It really gets interesting when what saves us comes from within ourselves. For example, there is a "sudden" realization that turns out to be exactly the right decision. It seems to pop up out of the blue. It may be that we physically move out of harms' way without giving it much thought or we "accidentally" meet just the right person to assist us in solving some problem. If we feel lost or fearful and don't know what to do and then we have some kind of seemingly gifted shift of awareness, what happens? What is it that "saves" us?
The ego self is the aspect of mind that is very concerned with survivial. This is the domain of fear and limitation. When we pray or ask for help we are actually bypassing the ego and contacting the Spirit within or the whole Self. God answers our prayers from within our own field of acceptance.
The more we believe that our real Self is limitless mind and knows how to bring forth the spiritual pattern of wholeness, the more we live in a kind of grace and flow. We feel as if we were being guided by an all knowing presence.Contacting the Inner Self on a regular basis through meditation and contemplation keeps our awareness where it belongs. We access the Source with greater ease and trust.
Let's know today:
The Source of all Good lives within my very own field of awareness. This is a pattern of perfection out of which all life arises. My own intact perfection is the deepest knowing I have. Today I claim it and awaken my senses to feel it and know it and act as if it were so. Today I call on my Spirit for answers, for ideas, for power and strength. Today I save myself from my own ignorance. I set myself free to reveal the Good within!
And so it is!
