September Newsletter from Charlotte:
FALL into a Healthy Lifestyle

Whew! The summer is just about over and you can feel the season is about to change: it is time to return to some structure, routine, and to prepare our children for school. It is a time of year when we try to take whatever we learned in the summer (being physically active, lots of sunshine, children learning to work with part-time summer jobs, vacations, rest and travel) and integrate into life lessons and actions that will support us through the year.

School is such an exciting time. It is the time to see old friends and to make new ones, a time to play school sports, a time to join the band or other clubs, and most importantly, a time to learn and grow. Getting ready for the school year includes lots of things from purchasing school clothes, backpacks, shoes to whatever other school supplies your children will need.

School supplies and clothing are not the only important things you must concern yourself with for the coming school year. It is important that your children have had their yearly physicals and that they are taking nutritional supplements to boost their immune system and overall health.

Calmer, Healthier Kids & Families is a summary of Dr. John Taylor’s suggestions in easing transitions for children and families.

Also, here are a few more Healthy Tips to transition into the season of change.

  • Make a list of things you didn’t do this summer & paper clip it to your calendar for next year’s planning…this way you can be sure to block in time for postponed pleasure and activities.
  • Stock up on Enzymes & Acidophilus to help fight colds, flu, and allergies. Build the Immune System now….
  • Take walks to watch the Autumn Sunset & linger in twilight as the season begins to change.
  • Stock up on school supplies for the kids & re-organize their study areas.
  • Stock up on winter emergency items like batteries, candles and dried food like Super Blue Green Algae…
  • Identify what you want to do, be, or have by the end of this year (only 3 months away!)

As I am writing this newsletter, I am sitting next to a window overlooking beautiful Redwood trees. I see several squirrels scampering about, chattering, gathering and preparing for the upcoming colder weather…so it is appropriate for us to ask ourselves, what do we need to do NOW to prepare for the change in season? What do I need to do NOW to maintain my health thru the cold season?

This is a good time to take advantage of my FREE health consultation. The process of answering my questionnaire is so empowering because it makes you very aware of what you are doing today, defines what you would like to change and opens possibilities for you that are very simple.

Now is the time to begin to strengthen the immune system.  What thoughts, actions, foods, supplements and decisions do I need to have that
will support  me and my community to take care of our health and well-being.

Our health impacts our ability to:

  • break down and digest what we take in (information and experiences as well as food);
  • assimilate, process and use energy as vital information in our system ;
  • eliminate  toxins and what is harmful in our system;
  • focus and make decisions during times of crisis;
  • care for our physical, emotional and spiritual state while doing day to day activities;
  • grieve and mourn individually and for those who have been directly impacted by the loss of loved ones;
  • care for and be of service to others;
  • be present and to listen for what is important in any given moment; and especially
  • foster hopes, dreams and visions for a wonderful future.

All the more reason to make sure the nutritional core of our being is taken care of. WE NEED MINERALS, TRACE ELEMENTS, VITAMINS, PROTEINS, AND ENERGY to grieve, repair, and restore our lives. We need to strengthen our inner core and immune system to exist and withstand every day challenges.

So, take advantage of the featured product specials listed here that will nourish you with good greens and vital nutrients as well as the four educational articles I found for this month:

The Science Behind Super Blue Green Algae gives you an in depth understanding of the innovative technology behind harvesting, preparing and certification of  this powerful food for you.

As the seasons change, many people experience a heightened sensitivity to allergies and Food As Healer, by Mark Hyman, MD, the editor in chief of Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine, discusses the role of food as a therapeutic tool in disease, often where no other alternatives exist.

Cholesterol, Diet & the Key to Healthy Living by Donia Alawi will provide you with insight about dealing with this condition from another perspective.

The Shocking Truth About Action: Doing without Doing, by Dr. Robert Anthony will give you insight about the science behind truly making a difference in what we do.

I am a firm believer that our health is the best that we can share with others. Our health is the foundation of our lives—it’s what keeps us going.

I have a FREE booklet for you, Big D’s Little D’s by Dr. Ron Meyers.

It is a powerful booklet on learning the signs our bodies naturally provide as we either move from health to disease and then back to health.

Just contact me and I will send it to you immediately.

In the meantime, enjoy this month and season of change. Change is all we have. Please watch for upcoming events and I look forward to serving you and your loved ones.
